Ms. Cleary is trying to figure out what price she should sell the tickets at. She asks her students what price they would pay for a ticket. For question A, you should use percents to increase the number of students while keeping the same ratio. Do you understand that? Tell me if I need to explain it better. Find out the percent of the students that will buy a ticket at each price, then find that percent of 480. This should be the number of students that would buy a ticket at that price. For question b, you can multiply that by the ticket price. The one with the highest income is the answer to C.
to figue out this problem add all the probable sales together... once you have that then devide 480 by the sum of the probable sales. Then you can relate that to all the probable sales so like if the probable sale for buying tiket for $1 was 15 and the quotient of 480 and the sum of the probable sales was 5 then you do 5 x 15=x to figure out what the probable sales would be for 480 people
does that make any since.. thats how i figured it out... im not sure if its correct but it made the most since and when you add the probable sales for the school together you can check your work by adding the probable sales together again and making sure they equil 180.
to do them do not expect it to be exact like if its +3 it may not be three on three. do you get what im saying. just guess and check but do stratigise.. remember if its 3x it increases by 3 each time over one space uness its a fraction.. then the +3 can be on the x axes..... wait or is it the y... anyway just do it that way and you'll match them eventually
